Jeff & Tracey Gillis
We are the Gillis family living outside of Lexington, Kentucky. Our first dog was an American Brittany. He was a liver/white in coloration and our "baby" for 7 years before we had children. I was amazed at how gentle he was with our son. No signs of jealousy towards a newborn that was now taking up a lot of adult time. We were hooked on the Brittany breed. However, after this dog died, my husband wanted a smaller and closer hunting companion. That's when we discovered the French Brittany.
Our family loves living in the country. We have lots of room for the dogs and kids to run and play. The dogs wear beeper collars when there're outside exercising . Being a home schooling family, the dogs are almost always around us in or out of the house. The boys (Jeff and son) are the hunters of the family. I like to watch the dogs work and our daughter enjoys trap shooting.
The French Brittany is an innate hunter. They need a home that will love them as pets , but also hunt their God given abilities.
